While the RS is in BMW Motorrad's Sport bike category, it is nonetheless a very capable sporty touring bike as well. Pack up the panniers and top box or tail bag with your stuff and you are good to go, overnighting at motels and bed and breakfasts along the way. Share your story here too!
2018 Arkansas Ride-In (May 2018)
In early May 2018, a group of friends and I rode our RSs to the Edelweiss Inn in Eureka Springs Arkansas for 3 days of riding in the Ozarks and even into the Mark Twain National Forest in south western Missouri. I recorded some video of the trip from Houston to Eureka Springs and back. This video joins the trip on Day 2.

First Motocamping Trip of 2021 | Mission Tejas State Park | 6-7 March 2021
Texas State Parks were all booked up in March, likely due to Spring Break, but Mission Tejas had a couple of sites when I reserved about a week before. I soon found out why.

First Motocamping Trip of 2020 | Fairfield Lake State Park - 15-16 February 2020
Finally! The weather and the timing came together and I was able to get my first motocamping trip of 2020 done. I chose Fairfield State Park because it is fairly close to home (2 - 2.5 hours depending on the route) and it is a pretty nice Texas State Park with good amenities, a nice lake and decent trails for walking.
